Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Spider-Punk gets his own Venom Symbiote costume in new Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse fan art. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse became one of 2023's biggest successes as Miles Morales and numerous Spider-Man variants conquered the big screen. One of the new characters who made his cinematic debut was Spider-Punk, voiced by Daniel Kaluuya, with his character coming from Earth-138.
Following Spider-Punk's big-screen arrival, Arkin Tyagi, who is a popular graphic designer and artist, has been reimagining the variants from Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse in their own Venomized suits. For his latest work, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse's Hobie Brown, a.k.a. Spider-Punk, became another Spider-Man variant to get his own What If...? scenario where he accepts the Symbiote.
The artwork is coming off the fact that Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse officially connected itself to Sony's Spider-Man Universe. Even though Venom never showed up, Spot did end up visiting Mrs. Chen from the Tom Hardy movies to show how the live-action properties are also connected to the Spider-Verse films.
Interestingly enough, Venom 3, which is coming out before Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, is supposedly taking place right after Spider-Man: No Way Home, where Eddie Brock was briefly visiting Earth-199999. Assuming Venom 3 does wrap up Eddie's trilogy, it could easily lead directly into Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse whenever the film actually gets put on Sony's schedule again.
With that said, Sony actually has to get Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse made as progress has been delayed, and the movie is supposedly still in the very early stages of production. Once the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strikes are officially over, Sony will likely do everything it can to get Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse back into production.
