The actor appeared on hit podcast show Diary Of A CEO where he opened up on his troubled childhood

Netflix Top Boy star Ashley Walters has opened up on his past traumas and troubled upbringing, admitting he "wanted to hurt people" when growing up. The actor is well-known for playing drug dealer Dushane in the London-based hit drama.

Speaking to podcast host Steven Bartlett on the latest episode of Diary of CEO, Walters admitted to having therapy due to experiencing "a lot of trauma". He added that a lot of his struggles stemmed from his relationship with his father. The 41-year-old said: "I had a lot of trauma that I guess has kind of stuck with me over my life and I think one of the biggest things for me was my dad, that's what it stemmed back to. Growing up not having a father figure around... It made me angry, it made me angry with the world."

"Some of the people I cared about, some of the people close to me and some people I didn't know randomly. But it got me into a lot of trouble with the police."
