The creator of the show spoke to the ECHO ahead of a stage show coming to the Empire

Steven Knight, the creator and writer of Peaky Blinders, told the ECHO how an "incredible" part of Liverpool where they were filming for the first season helped create the "theme and tone" for the whole show.

"You felt dwarfed by the dimensions of the buildings. It was an amazing building that really helped us to establish the theme and tone of the show.Speaking about the show, which will combine dance by the Rambert dance company with his own Shelby story lines, Steven said it first came about after the company featured on the show during season four, and he got talking to a director there about turning it into a "larger show.
