UBA is on the verge of self-imploding in season 3.

Summary UBA feels like a whole new network in The Morning Show season 3, which premieres September 18 on Apple TV+. The show jumps forward in time after the COVID-filled season 2 finale, finding Alex Levy back on sure footing and Bradley Jackson fighting for ethical journalism on the evening news. Olympic athlete Chris Hunter even joins the UBA family, though her presence stirs up more questions about equity in the workplace than it answers.

Michael Ellenberg: There's a lot of debate behind the scenes on this show. We tackle big subjects, and so people are working these issues out in real-time. Charlotte, I think, did a pretty remarkable job of framing one large story for the season, which is really Paul Marks' entry onto the scene. UBA is in trouble and this tech industrial titan is the white knight that may save it or destroy it.

Michael Ellenberg: This is a good question, Tatiana. We were very fortunate. The pilot script was really strong, and he was excited to sort of dip back in. It's not Don Draper, but it's related to the world he inhabited before. I think for him, the opportunity to work with Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon was a bit undeniable. And as you said, he gets to lord over Billy Crudup. He's the man until things get complicated for him by the end of the season.

Michael Ellenberg: I defer to the audience's assessment, but I adore their relationship. I think anyone who watches it will. They are so fiery. There is a brilliant scene late in the season between Julianna and Reese, Laura and Bradley, that is electric and explosive. Even when they're the most mad at each other, you can feel the connection between the two characters. I think it will be ongoing. Even if they're fully apart, I think the spark between them is impossible to extinguish.
