'I was a huge 90s popstar with a string of no1s- now I’m a headteacher in Dubai'

The singer, 47, shot to fame after she became a member of Steps in 1997.

The group, which also included Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards, Faye Tozer and Ian"H" Watkins,went on to be one of the most successful pop groups of the 90s and early 00s, achieving two UK No.1 albums and 14 top 5 singles. Two of their singles - ‘Heartbeat/Tragedy’ and ‘Stomp’ - were No.1 hits and the group have sold over 22 million albums worldwide.

However, Lisa Scott-Lee has now taken on a different path after founding a performing arts school in Dubai. Lisa Scott-Lee is married to Johnny Shentall, who was in the pop group Hear’Say in 2002. The pop couple married in 2004 and have two children together. Lisa had a short solo career following Steps splitting in 2001, but the family later relocated to Dubai in 2011.
