Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The MCU and DCEU have both proved capable of creating some amazing superhero suits, with some being so well-designed that they are even better than the movie they appear in. Both movie franchises aren't without their dud installments, but there are many cases where the negatives can be forgiven simply due to the visual positives.
This didn't preclude the rest of the movie from resting on its CGI laurels, however, as computer-generated sequences - including an uncanny DCEU cameo from Nicolas Cage - abounded in a movie that became something of a DCEU swansong. The Flash lived up to its name by delivering special effects in spades but was ultimately held back by its messiness. Whether Sasha Calle will return as Supergirl in Gunn's DCU is also looking unlikely - but where there is a multiverse, there is a way.
Sporting the classic winged helmet, a more muted version of Thor's body armor, a billowing red cloak, and, of course, a splintered Mjolnir, Jane's big reveal in a skirmish with a contingent of shadow monsters was a huge moment. Jane's adoption of the Thor moniker was one of the movie's strongest points and was done justice by Natalie Portman's likely final portrayal of the character.
Red Guardian is the Soviet Union's answer to Captain America, a super soldier created as a human weapon to aid in the Soviets' military operations. His superhero outfit in Black Widow is the perfect signifier of this role, drenched in the red that is synonymous with the erstwhile nation's identity, with a Captain America-esque white star positioned on the chest.
Peter Parker’s Symbiote Suit Exudes Edginess Spider-Man 3 The Peter Parker puberty allegory reached a new level in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3 as the titular hero underwent his "emo" phase. The result was mixed, with the Venom symbiote's influence turning a typically pleasant Parker into a downright obnoxious anti-hero. If nothing else, the turn resulted in the infamous "Bully Maguire" memes.
This was in spite of stellar performances from the movie's main cast and the spectacle that was seeing them together for the first time. One of the stand-out players was Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, whose cinematic superhero suit is just as seminal as its comic book counterpart, largely thanks to its accurate portrayal. Justice League is not without merit, and the wardrobe department is partly to thank for that state of affairs.
