The home of rock’n’roll will host dozens of bands for the yearly event, keeping attendees on their toes from noon to midnight for the next two Saturdays.

Sunday, Sept. 3: Noon - MidnightOn top of great music, incredible food will draw thousands to the fairgrounds this Labor Day weekend.

Oktoberfest favorites such as bratwurst, pierogi, wienerschnitzel and potato pancakes will be joined by beers from near and far. Area breweries will participate in the Best Microbrew Competition throughout the festival, with votes tallied on Sept. 9 to determine the people’s choice winner.Other events include the Great Lakes 5K Bier Run, Five Star Wiener Dog Races, Masskrugstemmen German Strongman Competition and the Miss Oktoberfest Contest., with parking and children under 12 admitted for free.

Cleveland OktoberfestCleveland Oktoberfest The annual Paulaner Cleveland Oktoberfest kicks off today at Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. The fest features more than 15 different types of Oktoberfest-style beers, German and European restaurants, bands from all over the world, vendors and local artisans, a daily beer stein-holding contest, the largest glockenspiel in the country, wiener dog races, a Miss Oktoberfest contest, a 5-K race and entertainment for all ages. More than 100,000 people are expected to attend the event. Festivities continue through Sunday, and the festival will also take place on Sept. 8 and 9 .
