Vanna White will be missing from a few future episodes of "Wheel of Fortune."If you happen to be tuning in to some of the new episodes of “Wheel of Fortune” this fall and don’t see Vanna White, there is a reason.
The longtime letter-turner has rarely missed a show since the show’s syndication debut in 1983, so the absence of the beloved long-standing co-host will be noticeable to many., the co-host was forced to miss a day of filming the syndicated show due to illness. And even though she was only out for a day, “Wheel of Fortune” tapes five shows a day. So, in the game show world, her missing a day of filming is equivalent to a week’s worth of shows.
That week was during the popular “Teacher’s Week” episodes, where teachers across the country compete for huge prizes. Additionally, when it came to “Teacher’s Week,” the event couldn’t be rescheduled, and the show had to have gone on without White. So, to fill in as host in White’s absence was nonother than a teacher who took over the reins – Bridgette Donald-Blue, who was recently named among the 2023 California Teacher of the Year, according to Yahoo.“Teacher’s Week” usually airs in mid-to-late September every year, but this year’s dates have yet to be announced. The show will return for its 41st season this fall,
