8 Amazing Spider-Man The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 were big disappointments for many Spider-Man fans when the films came out, with viewers unfavorably comparing them to Sam Raimi's trilogy. Due to this poor reception, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 was canned in favor of a series that could be integrated into the MCU. As time has passed, however, the reception of these films has gotten better.

6 Millennium Trilogy David Fincher's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is the most popular adaptation of the Millenium book series, but it actually isn't the first. Three Swedish Millenium movies were released in 2009, and while they were well-received, the franchise never went beyond the initial trilogy.

4 Dawn Of The Dead Zack Snyder's 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake is considered to be one of his best films, and it actually ended on a cliffhanger. The film ends with the gang finally making it to a seemingly deserted island, but once there, they discover that it is infested with zombies. While an island of zombies is an interesting idea, Dawn of the Dead never got a direct sequel. Despite this, Dawn of the Dead is still an incredible film and one of the best entries in the zombie genre.
