the movie was standard marvel junk.
It's only a Superhero Movie, the only reason people (aka the Academy) care so much about it is that the majority of the cast Afro- British and African-American... ie, not Caucasian (white) beyond that, it's of little merit really... Sad but true.
It cud win the worst film award 2019. It was a poor script & poor plot, the only thing it had going 4 it, was it was nearly an all black cast in a large Hollywood budget film. Its a shame that all black cast didn't deserve a gd script & story plot.
Its an average perfunctory Marvel film .All the Oscar noms are for technical and costume , mostly white middle aged

Black Panther was created by white people. Black people had to have white people come up a utopia for them. The film is unwatchable, pandering, and just plain pathetic. The Oscars died as soon as they stopped recognising good films and started in with identity politics

Black Panther is an action film that doesn't objectify women, doesn't force on its audience mindless gratuitous action and is able to tell a decent story about characters you ultimately care about. A mesmerising and remarkable film.
Really? Rome is a much better movie...Black Panther was good and gave people a much needed reason to be pride of themselves but far from being the best movie.

It probably should considering it was my favourite film out of all the nominations I’ve seen. Which to be fair is three out of the eight.
Black Panther is at best an above average movie. It's not even the best superher movie this year. Hint, Avengers: Ifinity War.

No it shouldn't and it has nothing to do with social agenda or messages of race. It just is in itself very average and not helped by the fact that it is effectively a rehashed Thor: Ragnarok, which released only a year prior and was a better film
