A Glasgow artist has created new murals in the city's southside to 'help cheer up locals' after scooping a top commission from the local community council.
The bright, bold murals sit facing each other on the bridge and show different 'local landmarks' including schools, the hospital, tenement plus high-rise flats and the doctors' surgery. "The bridge leads you to the hospital so I thought the use of bright colours might cheer people up who are on their way to and from medical appointments."
The Cathcart resident has a fashion and illustration brand, having worked in creative industries for a number of years."I had never really done murals before for other people, but I painted one in my own kitchen in my old flat in Battlefield," she added.
