As the public get ready to crown the next winners of Love Island, we take a look at what last year's champs, Ekin-Su and Davide, are up to a year after the show

This time last year Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti were proclaimed the winners of Love Island after securing nearly two-thirds of the vote to take home the £50,000 prize money.

After splitting their time between London and Davide's Manchester apartment, the couple set up a home together in the capital, but 10 months after leaving the villa, Davide revealed they had split up.In a post on Instagram, he said they were "no longer together" but he wished her the "best". It read: "@ekinsuofficial & I are no longer together. I am grateful for the memories and opportunities we shared together and I wish her nothing but the best.

Ekin-Su had also spoken to OK! Magazine about the challenges of a relationship in the public eye, saying: "One thing I've learnt in this relationship, you have to trust your boyfriend or girlfriend because in the public eye, it's not easy. Especially when people will make rumours or say things, or they see things, or things could look different from a picture. You just have to communicate with your partner, trust your partner and keep your relationship private.
