Glasgow Film Theatre will be the 'only cinema' to show Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer in 70mm in Scotland.
The movie starring Cillian Murphy, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Matt Damon and Robert Downey Jr - to name a few - follows the story of American scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and his role in the development of the atomic bomb.Taking to social media to advertise the film, and announce the news, the venue said that they would be the only cinema in Scotland to show the 70mm version.
Using a 70mm is said to be special because projecting the movie onto a big screen using a film print that is this wide means it will allow viewers to see more detail and in more colour and thus, a more immersive cinematic experience.
