The company has announced the opening of 21 Zellers pop-ups within Hudson's Bay stores, set to be unveiled by August 11. These pop-ups will be located in five provinces and will introduce the Zellers brand to new markets. Furthermore, Zellers will launch its next store experience at Hudson's Bay in Bramalea City Centre this September.
Each pop-up will have a unique footprint, ranging from 1,000 to 2,800 square feet, depending on the location, with the exception of the Queen Street store in Toronto. Zellers stores within Hudson's Bay will span between 8,000 and 10,000 square feet. The pop-up stores are strategically designed as market tests to gauge the potential for future Zellers store locations.
Sophia Hwang-Judiesch, President of Hudson's Bay, emphasizes the significance of pop-ups in the expansion strategy, stating, "Pop-ups are a key ingredient in our expansion strategy, allowing us to explore and test new markets, gather valuable customer insights, and fine-tune our offering before establishing larger format store locations.
With a strong focus on design and value, combined with a touch of Canadian nostalgia, Zellers is poised to become the go-to destination for a wide range of lifestyle and home products.
