The Channel 4 show's presenters saw the funny side

Just Stop Oil protestors stormed the set of Channel 4 show The Last Leg tonight. The chat show hosted by comics Adam Hills, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker was being broadcast live when the protesters appeared on screen just seconds into the programme, handing the hosts orange hi-vis vets.

The presenters took it in their stride and saw the funny side with Brooker pretending to carry Widdicombe off stage and Widdicombe saying: "I'm not going to lie to you I s**t myself."When I saw it was Just Stop Oil I was very relieved because we slagged off Putin last week." Adding: "I thought there were three people not laughing."

They said the action targeted the event because of the BBC’s “underwhelming coverage of the climate emergency”. The group tweeted: “The pair set off confetti cannons and sounded air horns, demanding the UK Government immediately halt all new oil and gas consents and licences. They attempted to address the audience before being forcibly removed.
