A popular Nigerian singer, Akinbiyi Ahmed better known as Bella Shmurda was allegedly assaulted by suspected cult members while performing at the Lagos State University (LASU). It was learnt that Bella Shmurda was performing at the homecoming concert organised by dancer Pocolee at the Ojo campus of the university when he was attacked. Another singer, ‘Declan Rice’ crooner, Odumodublvck, was reportedly driven out of the event venue by the alleged cultists

In 2021, SaharaReporters reported how the Adjabeng Circuit Court sitting in Accra, Ghana, ordered the deportation of Bella Shmurda, from Ghana after he was found guilty of attacking a doctor with a fork while in quarantine at the MPlaza Hotel in Accra.The “Cash App” hitmaker was deported alongside two others namely Ramsey Omeofe and Jubreel Abimbola and also fined GH¢2,000 each.The court also banned the singer and his colleagues from travelling to Ghana for a period of three months.
