Alita: Battle Angel 2 is finally happening, and there are 10 major ways that the sequel can beat the original 2019 movie. Based on the popular manga Battle Angel Alita, 2019's Alita: Battle Angel brought together director Robert Rodriguez and writer James Cameron for an all-out VFX action and sci-fi adventure. The film is incredibly popular with fans of the manga, and while it was well-received critically and commercially, it did have some problems.
9 Alita: Battle Angel 2 Can Show More Of Gelda & Jashugan One of Alita: Battle Angel's big problems was its lack of star power, with the biggest names in it being Christoph Waltz and Mahershala Ali. However, the film did feature incredibly brief cameos from some major actors, including Michelle Rodriguez and Jai Courtney. These actors played Gelda and Jashugan respectively, characters that could have a much bigger story in the sequel.

Wanting to get to Zalen was even the motivation of Hugo in the 2019 film, but sadly, he never made it there. Although the city of Zalem didn't get to be explored in the first film, this could happen in Alita: Battle Angel 2, as it is the logical expansion of the franchise's world.
5 Face-Replacement Effects Have Gotten Even Better Since The 2019 Movie Alita: Battle Angel heavily relies on face replacements, whether that be putting a manga-accurate face on actress Rosa Salazar or putting Jai Courtney's head on top of a giant robotic body. While the effects in Alita: Battle Angel still look great today, they will be even better in Alita: Battle Angel 2.
