They’re back after 3 years! Psych-Rock Giants, Golden Mammoth Pay Tribute To The Art of Overthinking with New Single ‘Places’

It’s been three years since their fuzzed out hit record,, that brought us neo-psychedelic gems like ‘Phaedo’ and ‘Galeia’s Touch’ and that’s because the band has been navigating through the aftermath of the pandemic in regards to their craft-making.

Their latest single, ‘Places’, which is now available to stream on all platforms, is merely a tiny snapshot of a bigger picture that paints the band’s personal journey through the pandemic and their reflection of the cyclical nature of overthinking. Integrating elements such as 60s doo-wop nostalgia and soulful saxophone solos into their new sound, the band will possibly be exploring different genres for their upcoming album,According to the band, ‘Places’ is meant to “invite listeners to explore mental struggles, self-reflection, and the path to inner peace.”The echoing of the lyrics, “My mind has been travelling to places, where it shouldn’t be,” is an accurate representation of our mindsets during the pandemic – stuck in isolation.

In times like these, we tend to punish ourselves by submerging our heads deeper into our solitude, but Golden Mammoth is here to remind you that the worst of it is only in your head.To stream the band’s latest single, click
