The best things to do this weekend in San Diego: July 13-16

Oceanside Museum of Art presents an exhibition of more than 40 works collected by San Diego collectors Bram and Sandra Dijkstra painted by American artists during the 1930s.

11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Fridays. Through Nov. 30. Oceanside Museum of Art, 704 Pier View Way, Oceanside. Free-$10. 435-3720,All humans and canine companions are welcome to this free event. Attendees will enjoy freebies, vendor booths, dog crafts, food, drinks and a dog-friendly menu. A percentage of the proceeds will go to the Heroic Tail Dog Rescue.

Steve Hackman conducts the San Diego Symphony in his own symphonic mashup of the Russian composer Tchaikovsky and contemporary rapper Drake.
