Alien versus Predator has resurfaced with regard to new movie installments in their respective franchises, yet Disney's upcoming Alien release is already disadvantaged compared to Predator's hit prequel. Prey, Predator's prequel installment released exclusively on Hulu, is a heavyweight contender when it comes to viewing achievement and critical reviews.
Disney's Alien producer Fede Alvarez will have to cope with his film landing in the midst of what could feel like a totally different saga for fans and movie goers. Whether he plans to allude to the lack of narrative consistency between Alien: Covenant and the original Alien movies or not, Alvarez will have the fairly large task of fixing the Alien franchise with Disney's new entry and setting it back on the right course.
