A film franchise can't survive without an ensemble of likable characters, however, that doesn't always mean that every cast member gets the storyline they deserve in every single movie, especially as more and more sequels are released. 6 Trinity In The Matrix Revolutions Yet another love interest sidelined in their franchise is Trinity from The Matrix. Trinity is first introduced as a computer hacker who escaped the Matrix. Over the course of the first film her and Neo form a romantic relationship, and in the second, Neo saves Trinity's life. However, in The Matrix Revolutions, Trinity does not return stronger than ever.
