You can enjoy wrestling, live entertainment, porchetta bingo, and, of course, Italian food at the Caruso Club July 6-9

As the saying goes, ‘al cuore non si comanda’, But the same can be said of the stomach, and that means the place to be this weekend, July 6-9, is the 51st annual Italian Festival at the Caruso Club in Sudbury.

The festival began yesterday evening with live pro wrestling and a concession stand, but the weekend really kicks off officially today with opening ceremonies at 4 p.m. followed by the Regions of Italy food fair from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and later, the Festival of Stars variety show from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Saturday will bring a day for the family, with a fish pond, and dance lessons for children, as well as a vendor show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., then you can once again indulge your taste buds at the food fair, beginning at 4 p.m.On Sunday, you can enjoy the food fair once again, and in the member’s lounge, view the British Grand Prix.

And a tip for while you’re there, just in case you think you’re too full to keep eating: always remember: ’Appetito vien mangiando,’
