The final wishes of music superstar Aretha Franklin could soon be determined in court, five years after her death.Her sons are in dispute over two handwritten wills from 2010 and 2014The validity of two handwritten wills, including one found in couch cushions, is set to be resolved in a jury trial next week.
Franklin's son Ted White II believes the papers dated in 2010 should mainly control the estate, while his siblings Kecalf Franklin and Edward Franklin favour the 2014 document. Kecalf Franklin and grandchildren would get his mother's main home in Bloomfield Hills, which is worth more than $US1.1 million , if the 2014 version is favoured.
