Mmesoma Admits Receiving Text From Exam Body, JAMB Saying She Scored 249 After Initially Claiming 362 Amid Result ControversyEjikeme Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Nnewi, Anambra State, who was accused of inflating her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination result, has admitted she received a text message from Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board , telling her she scored 249.

SaharaReproters had reported that JAMB on Tuesday released more evidence to prove its allegations of forgery against Mmesoma. Mmesoma had been paraded as the top scorer of the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and was set to receive a scholarship worth N3 million from Innoson Motors before JAMB came out with the damning revelation.

When she was asked by Channel TV if truly, she sent a text message to JAMB as claimed, she said, “That’s the only SMS I sent there. They didn’t reply. If they check their JAMB Support System, they would see that I sent a text message. They didn’t reply.”

Alleged forgery: JAMB sent me a text I scored 249 – MmesomaThe embattled Anambra pupil, Mmesoma Ejikeme who was accused by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) of manually inflating her 2023 UTME result has confirmed that she sent only one SMS to JAMB.   Mmesoma revealed this on Wednesday during an interview with Sunrise Daily on Channels Television which was monitored by The Nation.   While reacting to JAMB’s claim that she sent a series of messages to the board, she said the only SMS she sent to JAMB was through its support system: “That’s the only SMS I sent there.” JAMB’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, alleged  candidate sent a series of messages to the board’s automated telecoms system, including the results showing an aggregate of 362.   When asked if she got any feedback, she said: “They didn’t reply.
