Michelin-starred Ramen Nagi, one of the most famous ramen restaurant chains in Tokyo, will open its first San Diego County location later this summer at Westfield UTC shopping center.

Founded in 2004 by chef Satoshi Ikuta, Ramen Nagi is known for its silky noodles and slow-cooked, cutting-edge broth flavors. Over the years the company has grown to 35 locations worldwide, including a handful along the California coast that have opened in the past five years. Ramen Nagi will open in the shopping mall’s restaurant row area. 4545 La Jolla Village Dr., San Diego.

Similar buffets will also be offered at InterContinental’s upper-floor restaurants: Vistal and Garibaldi.— This new seaside Oceanside hotel will host a patriotic rooftop celebration beginning at 11 a.m. July 4. Events include a military flyover at 3 p.m., a mini-music festival, a barbecue menu, live music and a DJ spinning American music, including jazz, country, blues, rock ‘n’ roll and soul.

— This oceanfront restaurant on La Jolla Shores will offer a la carte dinner service on July 4 with a front-row seat to the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club’s Fourth of July illuminated drone show at 8:45 p.m. in nearby Kellogg Park.— This marina-side eatery in Point Loma offers prime viewing for the Big Bay Boom fireworks show on San Diego Bay.

— In honor of the Fourth of July, STK in San Diego will be serving an optional “red, white and blue” steak topping on Tuesday. The garnish, priced at $17.76, includes red lobster, garlic cream and blue corn tortilla strips.
