The Black Phone writer C. Robert Cargill received a terrifying, yet perfect gift for the horror movie's one-year anniversary. Adapted from the 2004 short story of the same name, the film centers on the abduction of thirteen-year-old Finney , who discovers that he can use a mysterious phone to communicate with past victims of his kidnapper.

Cargill revealed that he was gifted masks by Tom Savini and Jason Baker, who worked on creating them for the film, posting a photo of each version worn.
