The Glasgow singer-songwriter earlier this month confirmed he was cancelling all commitments ahead of his Glastonbury set on the Pyramid Stage.
During his set, he confirmed he was struggling with his voice and apologised to fans, but was met with a flood of support, as fans sang his songs back to him. However, the Forget Me hitmaker's famous sense of humour remained in tact. Following chants of "Oh Lewis Capaldi", he finally took his shirt off after teasing earlier in the set that he might have to abandon it when he overheated from performing.Lewis also confirmed that he would be "taking another wee break" and that he may not be seen "for the rest of the year".
He added: "I feel like I'll be taking another wee break over the next couple of weeks so you probably won't see much of me for the rest of the year maybe even. But when I do come back, when I do see you, I hope you're all still up for watching."One said: "What a beautiful moment in the crowd at Lewis Capaldi. True courage and perseverance shown."
