GLASGOW’S only LGBTQ+ rugby club is set to swap their studs for stilettos when they take to theThe Glasgow Raptors will host a fundraising event on June 30 after a sell-out debut show last year.

The 12 drag performers will be competing to succeed the contest’s inaugural champion and the current reigning queen, known as Greta Hunberg, will be returning to pass on the crown.Hosted by and featuring performances from Glasgow drag royalty Geezah Gobble, Ziggi Battles and Ann Phetamine, the evening will showcase the broad range of hidden talent in the Glasgow Raptors rugby team including comedy, lip-syncs, K-pop and Bollywood-inspired routines.

“Our performers have all been hard at work over the last few months, practising their lifts, kicks and splits, ready to dazzle the audience at our event. Rounding off Pride Month celebrations at the Slay nightclub in Glasgow’s city centre, the drag extravaganza aims to raise funds to support the development of the club, which has recently established a women’s rugby union team and a mixed-gender touch team.
