Following the last major Direct in February of this year, this indicates that Nintendo is sticking with the rough schedule they’ve had for big Directs since the presentations returned from hiatus in 2021: three per year, one in February, one in June, and one in September.
Much of Nintendo’s plans for the rest of the year are a mystery, with their only confirmed first-party releases being, both of which are releasing this summer. We can likely expect this Direct to fill out the remainder of the schedule for the year with new announcements.
