Rod Stewart is passionate about helping the less fortunate. Over the past years, he has been involved in several charity events.The singer shared the news on his Instagram page on Sunday, 18 June.
"What a fantastic day at Chris’s last ever Dine & Disco. Over £1.7m raised for children’s charity’s - incredible stuff," he wrote on Instagram.that when he received his knighthood - a title that is given to a man by a British king or queen for his achievements or his service to his country - he decided that he was going to use his new title to help those in need.
“When I got my knighthood, I thought ‘I've got to live up to this'. I want to help and do things. The music is one thing, and the legacy and everything, but I really want to help.”Some of the charities that will benefit from the Dine & Disco event include: Children in Need, The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, My Black Dog, Rainbow Trust, Starlight, Teenage Cancer Trust, Young Epilepsy and Children with Cancer UK.
