Arctic Monkeys cancelled their Dublin concert due to singer Alex Turner contracting acute laryngitis.

The band announced they are “extremely sorry” to cancel their concert in Marlay Park tomorrow, June 20Lead singer Alex Turner is suffering from “acute laryngitis”, according to a statement from the band, and has been ordered to rest following medical advice.The band apologised for the “huge disappointment this will inevitably cause to all their Irish fans”.

The band just finished three nights in Emirates Stadium, London, and are due to perform at Glastonbury Festival on June 23
