Galaxy Park is completed with five 5v5 soccer fields, three futsal courts, eight pickleball courts and four padel courts.

It has the ability to host large-scale tournaments and its court spaces alone can accommodate thousands of people, Pandolfo said. Depending on the activities, 10-12 people can fit into a court at the same time.

Galaxy Park is a part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the opening of Dignity Health Sports Park. The 125-acre site, which sits on the California State University Dominguez Hills campus in Carson, is home to Major League Soccer’s LA Galaxy. Over time, the complex has turned into a training hub for Olympics sports, in addition to being used as a soccer stadium. Its 8,000-seat tennis stadium hosts United States Tennis Association tours. It features a 2,000-seat facility for track & field and a 2,450-seat indoor Velodrome for track cycling. The facility is also designated as the national team training headquarters for the US Soccer Federation .

In a few years’ time, it will be the venue for rugby, tennis, modern pentathlon, field hockey and track cycling competitions during the 2028 Summer Olympics.
