With over 13 years dedicated to art, Anjo's journey has not always been straightforward. Initially, he viewed art as a mere hobby while pursuing other business ventures until he witnessed an art piece being sold for R280k at a gallery in Rosebank.

Melusi by artist Anjo, tells the story of one of the people the artist has come across through his art.Randburg-based artist, Anjo, stands out as a beacon of creativity and inspiration on the corner of William Nicol and Argyle Avenue in Hurlingham, Sandton.

Upon reaching the corner, I was disheartened to find the pieces not there. Thankfully, a friendly street vendor informed me that Anjo only displayed his work on weekends. Anjo exudes boundless energy and passion, evident in every stroke of his brush. He enthusiastically starts explaining the creative process:

With more than 13 years dedicated to art, Anjo's journey has not always been straightforward. Initially, he viewed art as a mere hobby while pursuing other business ventures. After completing his studies, for a while he struggled to sell the landscape pieces. Reflecting on those challenging years, he acknowledges his wife's unwavering support.

Surprisingly, Anjo is not on social media as he believes in fostering genuine human connections, learning about the individuals and sharing their stories through exhibitions.
