By May 29, it was 98% full, according to California Department of Water Resources , and the brown ring had disappeared. that full reservoirs do not ensure plentiful water for years into the future. Additionally, the increased water levels currently seen in the reservoirs does not necessarily equate to replenished groundwater stores, which is of great concern to the state of California.
