Actor Xolo Maridueña is hoping that they turn Blue Beetle into a DC superhero movie trilogy after the first one.

The upcoming DC superhero film will star Maridueña as Jaime Reyes, who stumbles into greatness after coming home from college. Jaime is chosen to become a symbiotic host to the Scarab — an alien relic that grants him a powerful exoskeleton. With his new powers, Jaime becomes the titular hero Blue Beetle.

. “For me and Angel [Manuel Soto, director] and the team, we kicked ass with this movie. It just depends on numbers.”
