In 2018 the car was treated to a full engine rebuild with new valve springs, pistons, crank etc. At the same time the subframes were removed and completely rebuilt with new components. With all these parts removed the underside of the shell was cleaned and re-coated with the correct 3M Body Schutz; the parts where then professionally cleaned and powder coated as necessary.
