Central Statistics Office figures also show that the inflation rate in Ireland fell to 5.4 per cent in May, compared to 6.3 per cent in April

Ireland’s unemployment rate fell to a record low in May, new Central Statistics Office figures show, with just 3.8 per cent of people between the age of 25 and 74 out of work.

Separate CSO figures show that the rate at which the price of goods and services rose fell in May compared to the previous month – with inflation now standing at 5.4 per cent, compared to 6.3 per cent in April.
