James Gunn's Superman: Legacy has a new actor contender emerge as one of the frontrunners for the iconic DC Comics hero. With a new DC Universe on its way, several beloved characters are set to get recast for Gunn's new franchise, including the Man of Steel himself.

While they haven't locked a star yet, another actor has now joined the list of frontrunners in the Superman: Legacy casting search. According to Variety, Pierson Fodé, whose credits include The Bold and The Beautiful, is reportedly in the running for the DC icon. Per the trade, Fodé has submitted a self-tape that included "showing his very Clark Kent-like childhood on a farm in the small town of Moses Lake, Wash.
