“I had a small wardrobe emergency backstage! It was very exciting,” the talk show host said to her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos, while fumbling with the front of her dress on Wednesday’s episode of “Live”as Ripa’s co-host in April — joked that he was “wondering how that was going to go.”
Ripa, still attempting to tie her pink dress, then playfully said she could hear her husband — who she married in 1996 — “clawing” at her dressing room door ahead of the show. Kelly Ripa shared that she “almost” didn’t make it to set on time for the start of “Live” because of a wardrobe malfunction.Her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos, joked that he got “drunk with power” when he contemplated beginning the show without her.Consuelos, 52, admitted that he contemplated how he would “stretch” the opening of the show to give Ripa, also 52, some time to join him for filming.
