Then there’s the battery widget on the iPhone. You’ll find it by swiping left from the first home screen and it shows the battery life of the iPhone, AirPods and other devices. At least one AirPod must be in the charging case for the case to appear in the widget.You probably only know this if your AirPods case has been engraved. If it is, when the animated image of them appears on your Apple screen, so does the engraving.

Once your AirPods are connected to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, go to Control Center and find AirPlay, which looks like a small mountain with circles radiating out of it. It’s in the music panel in the top right of Control Center. If your AirPods are already connected, the AirPlay icon is replaced with the image of the AirPods. Tap on this and the panel will open and show a menu including Share Audio. You can also get to this point by tapping the music panel on the lock screen.
