Superimposing two shots into a single photo is known as multiple exposure photography. Old-school analogue cameras created this effect by exposing the film twice to create a superimposed photo. These days, you can superimpose images in a photo editor or using a DSLR camera.
Open the camera app, swipe left to get to the “More” page and choose the “Expert Raw” mode. On the camera options bar, click on the two intersecting squares and you’ll be presented with the “Multiple Exposure” pane. When shooting the first photo, you will need to make sure the subject has a clear contrast with the background. Since we were shooting outdoors, we used the bright sky and whitish tiles as the backdrop. But if you’re shooting indoors, you can use a white or bright-coloured wall. The more uniform the background colour, the better.
For the second photo, the object that you want to superimpose onto the subject has to be slightly darker. To darken the object, decrease the EV and or the shutter speed value. Once set, just snap the photo and voila! A multi exposure photo captured right on your Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
