A popular Superman fan cast actor for James Gunn's upcoming DC Universe reboot, Superman: Legacy, gets imagined with a comics-accurate costume in new fan art. With the DCEU evolving, Gunn and Peter Safran are crafting a new DC Universe through the freshly launched DC Studios. One of the most highly anticipated projects is Superman: Legacy, which Gunn wrote and will direct, as production is being eyed for 2024.
One actor who has become a major fan-favorite in fan-casting is David Corenswet, as he is actually rumored to be up for the role of Superman. As Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios have yet to cast their new Man of Steel, digital artist Clement Ink imagined the actor with a comics-accurate suit. SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Corenswet, who bears some resemblance to Henry Cavill, has been proposed to star in Superman: Legacy through countless fan-art and trailers. The actor has thus far not spoken about the possibility of becoming the next actor to star as Krypton's last son.
Two additional mystery actors are also rumbled to be eyed for Superman, while Euphoria's Jacob Elordi has had his name surface for the main role. Finally, two conflicting reports have revealed that Nicholas Hoult is being looked at for Superman: Legacy. While the original report claimed he was up for Lex Luthor, a second one claims that he has been considered for Superman instead.
Time will tell if any of the actors will actually land the role of Superman in Gunn's new DC Universe. There is always the chance that someone completely different will emerge as Gunn's ultimate candidate to play the Man of Tomorrow. But for now, the world will have to wait to see who will star in Superman: Legacy.
