The Oscar-winning actor has appeared on the Late Late numerous times over the years, most notably in 2015 when he scolded audience members while performing Johnny Cash's Folsom Prison."Every single time I've come on the show, I've loved it. I loved the vibe, I love what you have done and what you have achieved," he told Ryan in a video message posted from Melbourne's Epsy Hotel.
Ryan waved goodbye to the Late Late Show on Friday night with an emotional final show, which included an interview with President Michael D. Higgins, a catch-up with Toy Show stars from years gone by and video messages from Paul McCartney and U2's Bono and The Edge.
