Following the sports explosion in popularity in the US, Scotland is set to hold its first ever national pickleball championships next week.
The mum of tennis stars Andy and Jamie Murray said: "The sport has exploded in America. I can see the same thing happening here because it's so much more accessible than any other sport. "It can be played on a badminton court - which every school and community centre across the country has. Its growth is inevitable, and I reckon it's only a matter of time before it becomes an Olympic and Paralympic sport.
Elliott represented Scotland at the Birmingham Games last year. She has type one diabetes and says pickleball is one of the most accessible sports. "Sport is great for anyone's physical and mental health, and pickleball is undoubtedly one of the most accessible sports, so I want more people to play.
