John Stamos wasn’t happy with Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen when they “didn’t want to come back” for the “Fuller House” reboot.on Thursday’s episode of the “And That’s What You REALLY Missed” podcast that he was “angry” with the twins when Netflix rebooted the sitcom in 2016.
The show ran for five seasons with Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, Dave Coulier and more original cast members reprising their roles. The actor made the revelation during Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale’s “And That’s What You REALLY Missed” podcast.The twins took turns portraying the now-iconic role of Michelle Tanner in the original series, “Full House.”The “Grandfathered” alum noted that rumors spread at the time that the 36-year-olds “hated their childhood” on “Full House,” which ran from 1987 to 1995.
“But they said, ‘We loved our childhood. We loved being with you. We miss Bob [Saget],'” Stamos, 59, clarified. The former soap star, who played Uncle Jesse Katsopolis on the series, noted that he only “stayed in touch a little bit” with the actresses portraying Michelle Tanner over the years.Stamos played the beloved Uncle Jesse and reprised his role for the reboot.
