Tina Turner said she put herself in 'great danger' in post weeks before death

In what was one of her last posts on social media prior to her death, the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll, Tina Turner, urged her fans and followers to "show their kidneys love” following her own health experiences in the past.

Tributes have poured in from around the world for Turner, regarded as one of the most legendary solo performers of the century, celebrating her life and legacy.Her decades-long career saw her win numerous Grammy Awards, become the subject of a biopic and most recently, her story was adapted into a jukebox musical.

She wrote: "Today is International World Kidney Day. Why is it important? Because kidneys fail without pain. And that's why I'm telling you today: Show your kidneys love! They deserve it. "I have put myself in great danger by refusing to face the reality that I need daily, lifelong therapy with medication.
