On Sunday afternoon, Ola Yusuff, a well-known director and producer in the industry, announced the Yoruba actor’s death on his Facebook page, simply stating “REST IN PEACE…”. Another popular actor Odulade Adekola also posted on his Instagram page to confirm the news he said, “Jesus Christ we lost Murphy”Biola Bayo also wrote on her page, “A black Sunday Indeed”His death came less than 24 hours after the announcement of the death of fellow producer and actor Saint Obi.

Nollywood has been left in mourning amidst recent happenings. While we wait for official announcement by family, may God grant his family and the movie industry the fortitude to bear the loss.
