Elon Musk tweeted some surprising news regarding Carlson's move to Twitter on Tuesday.

“There aren’t many platforms left that allow free speech,” Carlson said. “The last big one remaining in the world, the only one, is Twitter where we are now. Twitter has long served as the place where our national conversation incubates and develops.

“Starting soon, we will be bringing a new version of the show we have been doing for the last six and a half years to Twitter,” he said. “We’ll be bringing some other things, too, which we will tell you about. But for now, we are just grateful to be here. Free speech is the main right that you have. Without it, you have no others. This comes just more than two weeks after FOX News announced it was ending Carlson’s show on its network.
