Ant and Dec say they initially though their invite to King Charles' coronation was a "wind up." The ITV presenters were among dozens of celebrities who made up part of the 2,200-strong congregation at the coronation service.
Emma Thompson, David and Victoria Beckham and Lionel Richie were also among the famous faces spotted in the congregation, the Mirror reports. But speaking on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Ant and Dec said they initially believed their coronation invite was part of a prank. Dec said: "It's quite surreal when the invite comes through and it's quite an ornate invite and it comes through the door and you think, 'hang on a minute, is it finally our time to get wound up?' Is someone having us on here because this is a really good wind up' and no, apparently it was true and here we are!"Explaining why Ant and Dec were invited, the Royal Family's website says: "Award-winning presenters Anthony McPartlin OBE and Declan Donnelly OBE...
