The 2023 $40,000 Sulman Prize winner is Doris Bush Nungarrayi with her work Mamunya ngalyananyi .

The board of trustees including artists Tony Albert and Carline Rothwell have awarded the Archibald winner. Other artists have been invited as judges for the Sulman and the Young Archies. Tess Price from ANZ - the major Archibald sponsor of the past 14 years has taken to the stage. “The Archibald Prize is part of the cultural fabric of Australia,” she said.We mentioned before that we’d spotted past winner and former trustee Ben Quilty, in the coffee line.
